How does an outrigger system work — does it put all the weight on the wall?

No — that is a key advantage of outrigger systems. The outrigger post mounts to the wall at the top and bottom, with the lower attachment resting on the floor. This transfers merchandise weight to the floor through the post, not to the wall. This makes ou...

What is the difference between Universal Wall Standards and Heavy Duty Wall Standards?

Universal Wall Standards (W40-) use 1/2" slots on 1" centers — the most common pattern in North American retail, compatible with the widest range of brackets and accessories. Heavy Duty Wall Standards (W700-) use 1" slots on 2" centers — a heavier pattern...

Can I use my existing slatwall accessories on an outrigger system?

When should I use a ball waterfall (WTS) versus a hook waterfall (WTS5H) on wall standards?

Ball-tip waterfalls (WTS) are the correct choice for handbags, purses, scarves, belts, and soft accessories where a J-hook would catch on hardware or strap attachments. Hook waterfalls (WTS5H) are designed for garments on hangers. Match the waterfall tip ...

What makes the Raw Steel Outrigger different from the Pipe Outrigger system?

The Raw Steel Outrigger uses 2" square steel tubing uprights with a clear powder coat that enhances the natural raw steel appearance — including the material weld marks, seams, and surface characteristics. This creates a more industrial, unfinished aesthe...

What is the WCR (3") bracket used for versus the WCR1 (12") bracket on outriggers?

The WCR at 3" projection keeps the hangbar very close to the outrigger post — used for shallow garment zones directly in front of the post, or for mounting a hangbar between closely spaced posts. The WCR1 at 12" projects the hangbar further from the post ...

Do I always need shelf rests and rubber bumpers when using glass shelves on wall standards?

Yes. SRC shelf rests provide a stable contact point for glass shelves; SRB rubber bumpers protect glass from direct metal contact and prevent scratching. Both are required for glass shelf installations on any CSS wall standard system — Universal, Heavy Du...
