A price tag gun uses a hollow needle to push a small plastic fastener (barb) through the fabric, locking the hang tag in place. The needle creates a tiny hole — on most fabrics this is invisible after the tag is removed. For delicate fabrics (silk, sheer, fine knits), use the finest gauge needle and shortest barb available to minimize fabric penetration. Always tag through a seam or label area when possible.
