MDF slatwall will absorb moisture, warp, swell, and eventually delaminate in wet or humid environments — it is not suitable for outdoor use, car washes, garden centers, food service with washdown cleaning, or any environment with regular water exposure. PVC slatwall will not warp, swell, or delaminate regardless of water exposure. It is the correct and only appropriate specification for wet or high-humidity installations.
